GMS Family Resource Center
The mission of the GMS Family Resource Center is to provide positive family support and create long-lasting and effective family partnerships in order to support students’ academic success and social-emotional growth.
Through established relationships with community organizations, social service agencies, and healthcare providers, GMS Family Resource Center offers an array of services geared to improve social, economic, physical and mental well-being of our families. Our service partners include: Crawford County Department of Job & Family Services, Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission, YMCA, Galion Public Library, and Avita Health Systems.
Every family encounters hardships from time to time. Studies have shown these hardships often impact students’ ability to perform academically and/or interact with peers socially.
At Galion Middle School, we strive to directly provide services and/or connect families with service providers to assist families in need. Our services range from financial assistance and counseling referrals, to adult education and career advising.
